This stock has had plenty of moves like this in the past, only to fully recover. Usually there is some kind of news out there that is not public regarding their exclusivity agreements or competition. We shall see.
Do yourself a favor. Listen to the hastily arranged conference call. It appears that the "expert analysts" are as misinformed as the maligned retail investors. The US patent Office issued a standard pro-forma announcement regarding a long ongoing patent battle. However, on Friday "investors", and this just couldn't have been the little guys, puked up a massive 10 x normal volume when they saw the word REJECT in the press release. The "analysts" from Suntrust and First Boston seemed the most vexed and testy. They decried how tough it was for non-legals to understand the implications of the developments. Well, DUH, isn't an analyst supposed to analyze rather than react in the typical knee-jerk fashion attributed to the small guy? As the company spokesman explained, this battle will play out over the months and years with many, many more press releases to come. Let's hope that the analysts can rise above their (misplaced) anger and actually analyze.
