    Strategic Reserves Flooded!!!!

WASHINGTON, Sept 29 (Reuters) - Two sites in Texas and Louisiana that store the government's emergency oil stockpile could be without electricity for up 10 days because of Hurricane Rita and will not be able to release crude, according to the Energy Department.

The West Hackberry site in Louisiana and the Big Hill site in Texas are two of four storage sites that make up the Strategic Petroleum Reserve, which the Bush administration has said it will make available to refineries, if needed, to replace oil supplies disrupted by Rita over the weekend and Hurricane Katrina a month ago.

"The (two) sites may be out of power for 5-10 days and, therefore, are unable to drawdown crude oil," the Energy Department said in its latest assessment of how the U.S. energy sector has been affected by two hurricanes in less than a month.
