true, if you're just "short-term" long they can temporarily depress your stock, scaring you.
but for Investors who like hamsters, shorts are great. they borrow shares from the brokers and sell them. the brokers love this, because, while some shorts are clever enough to cover on a dip or upon triggering a stop loss when the stock goes up, some greedy shorts clutch to the belief that "this overpriced POS must fall!" even in the face of exponential earnings growth and rapid stock appreciation. Some even short it all the way up until they go broke!
Then the stock is returned to the brokers, who resell it at the new high price.
Everybody wins except for the poor, misguided short, who's death whimper is "but the PE!"
If this stock is such a "POS", then why are you wasting your time writing on this board? I agree with your "live and let live" attitude, but who are you to call IDPH a POS? What would you consider a great company/stock?
P.S. to Sass- Are you still wearing your red shirt on Friday?
Thanks. POS only because it is trading at levels which it has no business to and I am shorting it at these levels!! Agree, it has a good product for Hodgkins, but other biotechs with much greater products are at a fraction of the price of IDPH. Only reason for this inflated price, in my opinion is due to pure hype.
