Recently bought back into ALY at $2 that I sold in May at $4, have IO in at $3 and just bought WRES at $3. I have loaded up on oil, telephony and banking stocks because I see great value in those sectors going forward, in some cases with $3 stocks that were $15 a few years ago.
There's only one main problem for this company: the CEO is an idiot. Don't take my word for it, just listen to the cc.
Pretty much all oilwell service companies are making money these days. All except for ALY. In this sector, there's many great choices: SLB, ESV and TOT are my favorites. HAL and BHI are also decent choices. These companies are all profitable and they pay dividends too.
Allis Chalmers was a huge old factory in Milwaukee I used to see when I was going to school there in the 60's. There were alot of big old factories in Milwaukee. They made really big stuff made of iron and steel. They made the first 1 million kilowatt generator for Queens N.Y. in 1965. Started making waterwheels in 1840. Check Wikipedia. After divestitures they moved to Houston in 1999.
