They have never seemed to offer anything exciting,I have never known a single person in my life who used them, and now they dont even have the IPhone. Please offer me your insight, especially if you are a USM customer.
US Cellular uses the same technology as Verizon and has always invested to insure quality connections for their customers. In markets where they have large market share (Wisconsin, Iowa, etc.) their performance beats out the big 4. Remember AT&T dropping all of those calls during the first IPhone launch? Their employees are evaluated on providing great service to their customers - not necessarily trying to upsell people on additional fees & gagdets.
The big challenge for them is that the focus in wireless is the latest smart phone (and speeds). They can't get the same products at the same cost as the big guys so their margins will always be lower and they won't be first to market in products. They are in a tough spot.
Can only speak for myself, but I have been a US Cellular customer for years. They are more of a regioinal rather than national carrier. I have always been extremely well treated by the customer service reps over the years. I can't say I've really ever had any complaint in that department. However, I do agree it usually takes a little longer to see some of the newer phones in their line-up, but I've nver been one to want the latest and greatest. I would raher have the reliable, courteous customer service.
