I have owned PLD for about 5 years. I dont consider it a REIT. All companies have to be categorized so it gets treated like a REIT. But when you see their abilities to not only lease properties, but to build warehouses & distribution centers for their customers it takes on a differest light. And what clients!! Globally they have made great inroads, and they do a masterful job of building cross-continent satisfaction so a client will lease in China and when they want to expand in say North America or Europe, guess who they turn to??
I agree. Not sure why this is taking the hit that it is today but, the Dividend amount clearly does not warrant the amount of downturn. Long term, investors should be very happy with this one. At least if you are long..:)
