I have been in and out of ARNA since 2005. It has been a joy and a pain. Last year I sold in the $6 range before AdCom and have been buying all year long in the $1.50 range. This time I am holding. No guts. No glory.
One can imagine the value of this company and its patent portfolio in treating a broad range of diseases from obesity to diabetes to smoking.
We have all been patient and our day has come. ARNA will graduate from a micro pharma company to a pharma company instantly. It will be acquired in 2 years for $10 billion.
Mega pharmas have a huge void to fill and are hungry for new drugs. Drugs are not coming out as frequently as they used to. There has been an intellectual pit over the past 5 years. Development of novel therapies has come to a halt in part due to oppressive governmental policies that stifel innovation through bureaucratic minefield. In addition, costs of bringing a drug to market have sky-rocketed. ARNA spent almost $500 million already only to be shafted in 2010. Lastly, major drugs are coming off patent protection leaving mega pharmas to compete with generic equivalents.
I repeat. ARNA will be acquired within 2 years for an absolutely huge premium. So quit splitting pennies and realize that you are in at the bottom of what's surely to become a mountain.
Good luck everyone! Long and strong. Holding for the buyout.
Sleep well faithful longs. Our time has come. Our blood, sweat, and tears will be vindicated. The sun will shine brighter this Friday than any other Friday I could remember.
Hold for the buyout. It's coming. The price will continue to rise until then. Bought DNDN around $2 and sold at $20 only to watch it go to $50.
Same thing here but even more so. Obesity market much much greater than stage 4 prostate cancer market.
Not a long-time long here. But agree with you completely. I also am not hoping for a buyout because I am holding out for the below's result:
DNDN went from $2 to $50 in a flash. I sold at $20 and could not believe the run to $50.
Once approved institutions will pile in and drive the price through the roof. Remmeber the market for lorc is much greater than that of provenge. 15 - 30 billion market cap is not out of the question.
The key to our buyout is our patent portfolio which has potential to create a significant and long lasting pipeline of new drugs.
Search for Suave9 posts in this forum and see for yourself what ARNA has patent protected already.
I'm with you... Hope you're right! Those selling now or Fri with substantial gains are probably smart to do so, but we could be looking at a 10 bagger from this level by June! GLTA Longs...
