He's trying to save a lot of people from losing all of their profits. It is a wise article, because sometimes you can get caught up in the euphoria and not sell a share only to see your profits evaporate. And that is criminal how? Can't you guys see that the runup was a little over done and a pullback was due at some point?
Try looking at the other side of the coin for a minute. If someone on Seeking Alpha pumps ARNA and says the stock will definitely be approved and definitely be above $25 on approval, and the stock pops that day, by your logic the shorts would have reason for a lawsuit against the writer. Remember, it's a guest OPINION website.
He may not be a criminal (although my response to his article on SA suggested he would look good in orange). But don't give the story that he was only being helpful that does not hold water. His article was timed with the bear raid - plain and simple.
Trying to color it any other way is dishonest as well.
<<<He's trying to save people from losing their profits>>>> Oh really now !!! The reason I DID'T take profits is BECAUSE IT WASN'T TIME YET, and the shorts KNEW it. Oh yeah, take profits, get out and have the FDA give an EARLY APPROVAL and miss out on the PAYDAY that we've been waiting so long for!!!
Who is the young punk to come around knowing absolutely nothing about the company, having no vested interest whatsoever, ... YET, FOR SOME REASON OUT OF THE BLUE HE FEELS IT IS HIS DUTY TO WRITE AN ARTICLE WARNING INVESTORS TO GET OUT BECAUSE THE STOCK IS ALREADY AT FULL VALUE?
He did no research, he had no facts...
Come on people wake up,, HE WAS PLANTED THERE BY THE SHORTS AT PRECISELY THE RIGHT MOMENT,, you are absolutely an idiot if you believe anything different.
Complete BS...What he did was the equivalent of yelling bomb on a plane....He timed that little stunt along with whomever dropped that block on the market that caused the selloff...It was not an accident....It was not done for no reason other than to cause a full blown panic sell and it worked....You are far, far to naive......
a lot of ppl knew the selloff was coming. it just came early. im not blaming any1. the timing of that article was awful- a few days before the fda ruling?
i like the product, i like how arna management held their own in the preboard and im holding my shares. sorry if you got hurt friday.
Both you and Businessweek are giving this guy far too much credit. Within the galaxy of ARNA Shane continues to be insignificant.
His article was no more responsible for the selloff than a Yahoo Board posting by a short warning retailers to sell.
In Friday Incident which occurred at 9:36 AM was a bear raid; nothing more.
