VVUS APPROVAL: cast your vote.
Any ARNA long will have a bias however retail was not wrong about Belviq and I don't believe we will be wrong about VVUS. Post your opinion on the VVUS FDA vote this month and qualify it if possible. Let's see how accurate we are this time around.! GLTA

Approval, but with major restrictions. There is no way this thing can go smooth now. It's a hell of a ride, and will continue to be.

approved in US, DEA Schedule IV, and many more restrictions than Belviq, and not approved in EU

The Obama are pushing for anti obesity drugs to get approved, they want the population to loose weight, Qnexa is more dangerous than any other so they are approving it with restrictions REMS.
ARNA in much better position. -
I do think VVUS will be approved. However, the restrictions will severly limit its market penetration. It will be used by doctors only if Belviq doesn't work for a patient. The drug will not be sold to the biggest possible market - women of child bearing age. ARNA is the big winner. I do want to point out to everyone that I don't think VVUS will fall 60% or more on a rejection. The company does still have its recently approved and highly effective ED pill.

I think it's screwy but think they do get approved.
Just my gut feeling. Prob comes with conditions, etc.

it's a scary thought, but yes i agree and would not be surprised if the FDA-Colman decides in favor of Q despite all the problems with the drug....... i would not bet on it or against it...
