AF predicts pricing disaster for ARNA diet drug? Belviq a total flop?

DrugsObesity Pill Ills: Vivus Qsymia Sales Bomb, Arena Sets Belviq Price Ridiculously High

If the DEA ever gives us the greenlight, if we ever get EMA approval, if sales ever start in the USa this year?
This thing is getting riskier day by day.

    • You crazies are out in force today... Ignored.

    • I have alot more faith in Eisai than I do in some blogger from The Street. They will have %155 mil tied up in just aquiring the privledge of marketing Belviq before 1 pill is sold. The have had 50 people working on reimbursement issues. That's more people than Vivus has employees. The list price of $199.50 doesn't necessarily relate to what the final over the counter price is to the retail customer in a direct manner. Coupons, rebates, free goods etc will, be available from the start. The sales force is distributed in area where obesity and specialists that treat it arte concentrated. The sales force is experienced and will be selling to existing clients with whom they already have a relationship rather than contracting a marketing company who went out and hired a bunch of reps to start selling.

Hopefully the bad VVUS earnings report, The Street#$%$ piece and pricing concerns will drive the ARNA price down and create an opportunity for accumulation. Remember, Jack only has to announce a launch date or a partner somewhere in the world to give the pps a lift.

    • He's the same idiot that said wed never get approved, we'd get a lower class dea schedule, and that vvus would be a blockbuster. Why don't you short this, I'd love to take your money.
