The pieces are there for Arena to grow in 2013 and become the dominant company in the anti-obesity drug market. The market potential is increasing and growing at a 7% annual rate. Arena also has several upcoming catalysts, which could add a lot of value to the share price. Even if the catalysts don't turn out as good as investors hope, I still expect the company to grow and prosper in the near future and long term.
This statement I liked, but made me wonder how he came to this outcome of "already priced in". Reads as such, "There is great uncertainty regarding this decision, but it seems like a negative decision is already priced in to the stock. Should a surprise approval be given, investors should expect rapid appreciation in the share price." The low levels of volatility are good for us well. When the next catalysts appear ( Launch & 65 mill. ) should send us in the desired direction. The other items mentioned in the article are pretty much common sense to most people on this board. But I would welcome comments about the " already priced in" statement.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
Already priced in? I don't think so, and neither did the market just after FDA approval last summer. Those market highs had the price correct prior to actual DEA scheduling approval and subsequent launch date. Between now and then the price PPS is a reflection of market control, and to some degree the #$%$ launch of VVUS in the obesity market as analyst made a big deal out of their early sales. That said about VVUS, you won't see that same result from the launch of Belviq....the analyst are wrong again to compare the two. it's more than time to BUY, and/or add......the hours pending news of launch are near, it's not days any longer.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
I wonder if a copy of this article will be sent to Fartstain and Osborne, don't know where this writer came from but glad he finally showed up to the game. He never lied once in the whole piece that I read. Very refreshing.
ri66, I thought the article was very positive and a good overall general look at the situation facing arena in the coming months. One thing I do not agree with is the idea that E.U. rejection is priced in. I hope I might be wrong, but doubt it. As far as Osborne, I view his articles as very informative from a glass half empty perspective. As much as I want to read about all of the positives and great things to come, I think it is equally important to read a perspective that tones down some of the cheerleading and overly optimistic views.
I'm not going to pretend I know a ton about what this stock is going to do or how many scripts will be written from launch and onward but there's one thing that I'm almost certain about: the drug WILL do better than VVUS.
such a shame this was released ay after market closed on a Friday night. Should of let this go PM Monday so we could of had the pleasure of watching shortie squeeze. Price fluctuations mean nothing to me personally, super confident that once Belviq is launched product is going to excel expectation and stock is going to move up accordingly. This is a company with huge potential and a must for any investor.
we going to have a good week FACT. i know this and we deserve a good week after a quarter of FUD and manipulation. I cant wait for launch and the scripts to roll in, its going to surprise everyone. Wait til Eiasi start rolling out their marketing plan, tv features etc its going to be on a straight line upwards for a minute. dont let the train leave you. and dont sell into the pop, stay long and strong because this stock is only going one place
