First off I am Long ARNA but I am amazed at JL's lack of business sense and this the reason arna stock will underperform in the coming months. YOU gotta hear this.. So I went on line to order get my free voucher, However, the website is not yet set up for online vouchers you need to call. Therefore, I along with 8 others tried calling, wait time was anywhere from 14 minutes to 27minutes 4 gave up and promised not to make another attempt. I held on it took another 10 minutes and this was at 1pm still have not received to email for voucher. FIRST OF ALL.. they had a whole year to set this up properly.. R u Kiddin me.. See you guys Jack may be a visionary however he has zero business background and horrible at marketing or selling. EVRYTHING is about marketing. Jack is too arrogant however to admit thisbecause he wants all the publicity to feed his arrogance. Whenever you launch a new product BUS. 101..make sure u r ready! this is where u win or lose..First impression is huge. I am a firm believer this stock will take more hits down then up for the next to months and sold half my shares at $8.85.. (15,000) I will buy back around $8 Jack needs to step aside
I am a sales/marketing exec (altho not pharma), but seems to me the vouchers should either be available at the retail pharmacies, or perhaps eventually as a tear-out in magazines (part of an ad).....the tear-out doesn't give them a true count of demand, but it gives instant access to those who read about it.
Surprised that a big company like Eisai didn't have a top-notch marketing dep't........but, I believe both of my venues will be a means to get coupons....soon.
The real thing to look for is insurance.
l see long lines as a positive. If you'll remember, people camped out at store fronts over night for iPhones at Apple stores. It may have been an inconvenience for you, but it is NOT a negative. Also, keep in mind that ARNA isn't handling the marketing of Belviq. GLTA!
Well as most of have said, you're barking up the wrong tree. Jack has NO control over marketing. Being a consumer I guess what you said if true would be a small headache. However, as an investor this may be a nice problem to have. I see your wait time on the phone as a positive. That tells me that phones must be ringing off of the hook, and Eisia is having a hard time keeping up with demand, which they can adjust staff to fix. Besides you will soon be able to just print the voucher if you meet the requirements.
You said "Jack is too arrogant however to admit this because he wants all the publicity" really? If you were a TRUE investor you would know that shareholders wish Jack would say more. Jack is obviously the type to let the product speak for itself, and not throw fluff PR's out as their competitors do.
The fact is, Wall St got caught behind the eight ball and will do anything to get cheaper shares. When they have their fill you will be chasing into the mid teens.
FYI" Credit Suisse, Goldman and others paid todays prices and bought by the fist full!
Carp: Now jack is alo responsible for the internet. Sometimes I have internet problems with Time waner--blame jack Lief! Never mind that he is not involved in this basically in any way as its Easai charge for sales and marketing.
You said it best "R you kidding me" Only I direct it at YOU! Your "carping" Go try again for your health!
One extended phone call wait and a website glitch to get a voucher and that is rationale to criticize the entire business model? when was the voucher program announced anyway, two days ago? so much for seizing the day.
