Who to believe? FDA or Consumer Reports

As a practicing hospital pharmacist and ARNA shareholder, I choose to put my faith in the FDA. All medications have side effects and adverse effects.....just check out the package insert. You'll see nausea, diarrhea, constipation, etc. listed on the majority of them. The CR article sites hallucinations and euphoria can be caused by Belviq if not taken in the proper dose.....lots of bad effects can happen if medications are not taken at the proper prescribed dose! The CR articles states that patients losing 5% body weight using Belviq regained 25% of that weight within 2 years of discontinuing the medication. Duh!....quit taking the medication and most people go back to their same bad eating habits!! When dealing with medications, I choose to listen to medically sound information from scientic studies rather a comsumer organization known for evaluating automobiles, TVs, and vaccuum cleaners. If all the obese people in the US lost 5% body weight, we would save billions upon billions in our healthcare system due to complications of obesity. The initial sales of Belviq and the resulting impact on those patients is what will drive the future sales and the stock price to previously unseen highs.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy
