Started a low-carb diet on Friday June 7th, weighed 254 pounds, started Belviq on Tuesday June 11th, weighed in this morning weighed 237 pounds.
That is 6.7% weight loss in 24-27 days.
Diet has been easy, no side effects at all, never want a second portion, I sleep better, [I sometimes get insomnia, worrying about my business, etc. That is G-O-N-E]. I do not feel like I am missing out on food.
I like desserts but now have a tiny portion of nuts or cheese or non-fat yogurt. I tell myself I can have more if I want but I never get up to get more, last couple of nights I skipped the dessert altogether, which is pretty significant for me.
Another important point is food smells and tastes GREAT.
Yesterday was a 3 egg omelette smothered with pork & chili verde sauce for lunch! For dinner, a few ounces of cheddar cheese, salami, and olives. For dessert a handful of blister peanuts. That's it.
Ate nothing yet today.
I walk 2 miles about 3 times a week, and want to get up to 6 or 7.
My work is very hard labor about 40% of the time, so I have always been physically active.
Belviq has been a big success for me!
Hooray for Belviq!

July 20th update
Weighed in yesterday 7/20/13 at 233 pounds.
That is 21 pounds lost on Belviq since June 11th, or 41 days.
Losing 21 pounds from 254 pounds [initial weight] = 8.3% weight loss.
My weight loss has slowed a bit, 4 pounds over the last 16 days, but I would classify 8 pounds a month as massive weightloss.
My objective is 199 pounds and maintain that weight.
Right now today I am doing my Sauve9 "re-commit and re-set" program which works well for me in many areas of life.
"re-commit and re-set" is an idea I am sure I have stolen somewhere and a good example of its use was back when I had a boring and repetitive job and I found myself coming to work later and later and getting "burnt out" on the whole thing.
On the other hand my good employer was not getting tired of paying me a premium hourly wage.
I did a simple "re-commit and re-set" at this job which meant showing up 20 minutes early, doing my job and then finding a few extra things. It also meant setting a goal for outside of work involving skill upgrades, college, or a savings plan to start a business or skill to move away from that repetitive job.
Okay, blah, blah, bleh...
I am doing the same with weight loss here, reviewing my walk program, diet, and new plans to deal with being far from home, [ie drive thru fast food].
I am happy with Belviq weight loss but I know you cannot sit around and let Belviq do the heavy lifting.
Belviq can and does double or triple your weight loss efforts of diet and exercise.
So to summarize [if you read this far!] I think the weight loss on Belviq has been phenomenal so far, but I am motivated and want to win long term!
Kudos to all my BMI 27+ investor friends who are with me on this Belviq weightloss pathway.

Message board image of members? Sauve9, I have been reading your post for several years now.....funny thing I had a mental image of you as 35/40 year old, relatively slim profile, with a white collar job in banking or finance, or tech sales. A bit off the mark, but now I understand your personal and compelling reason to remain invested in ARNA for the long haul. My reason as a type II diabetic, I knew early that it would fill a drug needed to solve treatment issues for weight management. I was about 254 lbs. 5' 10" four years ago, and now down to 198 / 204 lbs. with diabetes I had to change my eating habits and it took me 18/24 months to lose the weight without drugs....it was not easy. My fortune, I have a wife who eats like a bird, and the meal prep totally agreed with her eating habits. Great success on your results, keep it up.
Congratulations Sauve9, I still have a way to go before I get close to your numbers. This morning measured ~242.6 Lbs or 8.2 Lbs weight loss in three weeks. I think exercise is the key, which I am not even close to getting there yet.... part of my slower weight loss is the insulin I have to take, a weight gain promoter that counters some of Belviq full effect... Congrats...
I'm jealous, I can't get my hands on any of those wonder pills, my doctor says my BMI is not high enough, she won't write me a prescription, wish there was a way to get them so that I can lose 10 pounds. I have my unused voucher...darn!.
