    • did you join? My SO did and got 40 replies thanking her.And when she tried to reply to tell them of their glich she got an postmaster undeliverable message. Eisai needs to work on their technical team some.

    • Once in place, this offers a new mode for TV advertising. People who know they need to lose weight are sensitive to comments from others that they should lose weight. They would rather investigate options in the quiet space of their own home. The INTERNET is the perfect channel. The TV ad doesn't have to push Belviq, but features images of people who want to know more and defines the achievable goal down the road. Folks then can explore the facts themselves before approaching their doctor for a final opinion and prescription. This fits into the Facebook effect I predict will become the prime mover. People posting on their own FB pages the link to the Eisai program and friends seeing it and responding individually.

    • Nice program! I'm not a patient, but have been receiving similar tips through Twitter from @eisaiweightloss and retweeting them, along with Ellie's Tweets and one other.

    • once eisai feels they have educated docs or the ones that want to listen then it appears 30 days for the fda to review the ads etc...This review process is probably on going as we speak...There is NO 6 month wait its up to Eisai and then fda reviews ads....Eisai has said at their cc that they will target the 25-30k spec docs first, to me this sounds like the awareness part and then follow up with the dtc blitz with on going information for docs and pts..Im sure in the near future we will get comments from eisai about dtc ads, we will not need to wait for the cc to hear about this plan...I was thinking before thanksgiving, ads could be released because this is the time people eat like pigs and fall asleep in the chair watching football

Covering the guidance that doctors should be giving their patients, a web site for doctors to direct and assist their patients to stay on a total weight loss program. So long Weight Watchers.

      • Gravelroad.........A great idea you just spawned. Belviq patients with a script information card handout directing them to a web site of info on Belviq. Eisai should/could make available at the doctors office a business card format for patients to hand out. Geee Gravel, I noticed you are losing weight? How are you doing this?.....Here, take this card, it outline a remarkable new weight loss drug called Belviq.

        Gorilla marketing 101......A real person, with real results, responding to interested friends with questions is powerful marketing. An AVERY software business card format can easily be posted on Eisai's web site for download....trim them yourself from the page.

        you can always print them up yourself....i dont know if this is considered direct to consumer marketing or not.. i know there is a 6 month window, but know one has answered my previous question as to whether it is 6 months from FDA or DEA approval....it may be ok now and this was their first step. they dont know if i got the prescription or not but they got my email i think from when i printed the coupon which i didnt use.

      BELVIQ is used with a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity for chronic weight management in adults with a body mass index (BMI) of:
