Here Is The Paragraph Summarized By The Bald Headed Champ!!!
This is the letter I wrote to Adam Feurstein also. His point about statistical significance on Intent on Treat Analysis to the point. BUT, he selectively leaves lot of other text from the abstact, I wonder why.
Hi Adam Without making any direct remarks at your opinion, my question is this:
"In the recently completed Phase 3 trial, patients receiving Ampligen for 40 weeks improved exercise treadmill performance 14.8% compared to the placebo group (p = 0.025) and 12.9% by intent to treat analysis (p = 0.052), and this improvement represents twice the minimum considered medically significant (6.5%). "
I copied that from the abstract linked in your opinion piece. The peer reviewed study's abstract claims twice the minimum medical significance. yet you are chosing to just harp on statistical significance. Further if you read the the abstract it clearly mentions that "Primary endpoints have been achieved with statistical significance. "
