Speaking as someone who is in the industry, LLNW has embarked on a SaaS/PaaS strategy and away from a CDN focus. They have made some strong new SaaS hires and I suspect that the new CEO will also have a strong SaaS focus pushing them further away from CDN. Key to their success will be whether or not the market views their CDN, which their SaaS offerings ride on, as being a positive differentiator in the market for Video and CMS offerings. They are going headlong into a market where they'll be competing against Microsoft, Adobe and many others. To me it seems high risk. From my perspective this makes them less of a acquisition target. If they focused on improving their CDN offering, and the market needs a viable service focused CDN, then they would be a stronger acquisition target.
