I should have known. As much as I think musclepharm is a crappy company I was a bit intrigued by the Musclegel supplement. Until today that is.
I had been trying to find some locally but I could not find any stores that carry musclepharm supplements. I finally went on GNC's website and saw they had Musclegel on sale. Then I took a look at the supplement facts. The first ingredient aside from water is Collagen Protein. Do you realize that this type of protein is not even utilized by the body for muscle tissue repair and growth? Human muscle is comprised of less than 1% collagen. This type of protein is sourced from ground up tendons and connective tissue. In fact, gelatin is hydrolyzed collagen.
Their second protein ingredient is whey isolate. An outstanding protein but is undoubtedly sprinkled in just so they can put it on the label.
Their only seemingly compelling product turns out to be the equivalent to a hot dog on the food ladder.
The more you peel back the layers of this company, the worse you see that it is. Their products are just copies of other companies products. And their one flagship product has turned out to be the worst of the worst.
Musclegel, with its collagen protein, is absolutely ineffective at supporting muscle growth.
Tuna your statements are not adding up my friend. As I've shown some of the Musclegel flavors have Collagen some do not my friend. You have options. Pick your flavor. You're showing how ignorant you are at this point. I once thought better of you.
By all means please enlighten me. Send me a link to the research. I tell you what I'll save you the time making up excuses because it doesn't exist.
The protein in musclegel is the lowest quality, cheapest protein that could possibly be used and it has virtually no measurable effect on supporting muscle growth and repair.
Another reason not to invest in this company.
Actually Anthony Roberts I mean TunaShit there is new studies showing that the combination of why isolate with hydrolyzed protein increases lean muscle mass, and decrease body fat. MuscleGel is beyond your science comprehension, and would not expect you to understand it. Obviously medicad is taking it serious, that there shows me this product is very innovative.
Keep shooting those roids looser!
Hold up here folks. First off Tuna your credibility is still intact. Thank goodness. But every other GNC links shows different ingredients:
What in the world are you talking about? Every single source I've found shows the ingredients in this order: Water, Whey Protein Isolate.
Next you'll tell us water is bad for us???
Come on Tuna your credibility is at stake here. Please show us the source of your misinformation or leave.
Here you go.
Ingredients: Water, Hydrolyzed Protein (Collagen), Whey Protein Isolate (BCAA Peptide, Glutamine Peptide, EAA), Maltodextrin, Digestive Resistant Maltodextrin, Natural Flavors, Citric Acid, Ascorbic Acid, Malic Acid, Lactic Acid, Niacinamide, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate, Calcium Pantothenate, FD&C Yellow No 6, Pyridoxine HCl, Riboflavin, FD&C Red No 3
And no I'm not telling you water is bad for you I'm telling you collagen protein is the worst possible protein you can have in a supplement.
It is what it is my friend. Have a look for yourself. Be my guest. Show me one single study showing the effectiveness of collagen protein for building muscle or simple tissue repair.
And name calling is not very effective. Makes you look pretty petty and stupid. But hey, whatever makes you feel good.
