UFC should bring it quite a bit of exposure and sales. After Saturday tens of millions will know about Muscle Pharm. I can see the potential upside of the revenue it will bring into the future.

"MusclePharm Corp. (MSLP) is a healthy life-style company focused on developing and manufacturing a full line of National Science Foundation approved nutritional supplements that do not use any substances banned in the sports industry. The company continues to expand rapidly, with revenues growing from $80,739 in 2008, $1,016,000 in 2009, and $4,076,764 in 2010 to $3,517,774 for just the first quarter of 2011."

That looks like $ to me. With those kind of sales they are on track to do $14M in sales this year. However, I recently read were a MP employee himself stated "yes they WERE on track for that, but now its looking to be $20M"

I have to agree right now it looks as if their financial legs are unstable, due the liabilities. However, expansion takes money. You have to spend money to make money.. everyone has heard that. No one makes it big by not spending money. Also, expansion can be dangerous if you expand to rapidly without product awareness, which I believe they are receiving.

If you go on YouTube, you can find behind the scene looks of in production MusclePharm commercials. I have not seen these yet on television, but what better place to premiere them than the UFC's world debut on Network Television... FOX... You have a good point Tuna, commercials would be good... It looks as if they might do that tonight... also like you said time will tell...

One last point to think about in regards to not being a mainstream sport. FoxSports covers events such as; Superbowl, World Series, Daytona 500, and NBA Finals... Those seem to be about as mainstream as you can get, and the UFC is going right there in with them. The world premiere on Network Television to be a huge title fight as well. Even Dana White is quoted saying that yes they will lose money on this fight by airing it live.. however, the future revenue this will generate will outweigh the costs.. he was also quoted in the same article saying.. you have to spend money to make money...

You're right a couple bumpers and logo on the mat are going to solely do the trick... However, those things on the mat, the largest forecasted viewer rating of a ufc fight ever, a direct link on straight to MP, and the product being available just about everywhere that can see the fight.. well that sounds like they have it covered. UFC wouldn't partner, and debut a partnership on the biggest night of their company with a company going down the drain..

These are my opinions and I am completely open for any debate and disagreement, after all information is power and in this case... MONEY...

    • What exposure? Logo on the mat? Sorry that's not gonna cut it.
