More importantly, welfare is a very limited program today, and has been since 1995. It's only temporary (up to five years), provides little cash assistance and some job training.
It would be a lot higher among Hispanics if they didn't think they'd get deported as soon as they applied for welfare.Maybe we should create an "awareness campaign" so Hispanics realize all the free stuff they may be missing. It's better than having them sell dope, right?
