I used to have a bunch of stocks. Now I only have a few. qqq, dia & msft are a few.
I have more in my IRA. I did sell everything in my Retirement account and let the whole thing ride on qqq & MSFT I already have and will never sell. I bought the QQQ right after the Obama inauguration. The beginning of the down market. Everyone was selling and I bought a crazy large amount of QQQ. It worked out for me better than almost anything I ever have bought. I have also bought Nokia at the bottom $1 something & Facebook at the bottom but qqq if you just put it in and forget it worked out fantastic. You cannot forget the qqq if the market is crashing. I guess I got lucky and bought at the bottom.
Just my opinion but it was one of the best things I did in my life.l Get rid of all the basket full of stocks and pour it directly into the QQQ. I could spend all the money I wanted and could have lived off of the profits if I wanted to.
IF what you say is true, consider selling some covered calls. I've had blocks of the qqq's since 08' bought in the 40's. I've sold covered calls on half of hem since they 've been hitting new highs in the 80's. Trees do not grow to the sky indefinitely.
