This stock has become such a snoozer. I called to ask about how much the home charger costs and the sales team is still operating and doing a good job so I guess that's a good sign. I really am interested in buying a home charger but I am going to wait to see what happens with ECOtality first.
I called recently and a guy picked up so maybe they laid off the sales staff if what you say is true and someone might be doing double duty and picking up the sales line in addition to their primary role(s).
Please do not falsely accuse. I called 888.998.2546 (phone number is on the website) this week and inquired about the home charger. If no one picked up the phone for sales, I would not even bother holding or posting on here. People can easily call if they want to confirm for themselves. Best of luck to you.
Maybe that's something we could ALL do over the next week or two - call with interest in the charger whether we need one or not, so they have some positive feelings about whether they're still a viable commodity or not and can report the incoming sales inquiries to any potential Daddy Companies. *I can be a devious girl* :)
Yeah, maybe we should be writing to all the companies that we think should buy out ECOtality and how it would benefit them. Ford and Tesla would top my list since I think the DOE would want our EV infrastructure to be managed by a US company.
Back in 2011 I could give you the specs of almost ever home charger produced .. The Blink was the most expensive one because it had all the bells and whistles with it ..
Im not sure of what type of E-car you drive .. The charger in the trunk of the Leaf can be upgrade to lvl 2, 240 volts ..A company in No.Cal will do it for a $100 ...You will then need to put a 30 amp fuse in you fuss box and connect a 240 volt outlet to that ..
