Having owned Wells Fargo stock over the years (and did quite well) I know that they would NOT enter into a major joint venture (check cashing) if they did not think there was money to be made. As I posted before, it takes money to make money, and Cash America is doing the right thing in my opinion. I bought 500 more shares under 17 yesterday. PAWN might be a good company, but they are not diversifying, as is PWN.
BTW, I wrote a letter to Dougherty over a year ago suggesting selling items on the internet - he didn't think it was a great idea, but maybe PWN should reconsider. It may not be a big profit center, but it would give them exposure - especially to a completely different market. Sell those Rolex's to Sillicon Valley types!
