people are also buying...more than 1 trader @ stocktwits is seeing the opportunity to pick up more shares here ...the volitility of NXP will probably remain until it's visibly entrenched in more hot products, its Q Quotient goes up among the investor class and the shorts decide to feast on a different stock . I don't believe this dip speaks to the stock as much as it does market conditions
This isn't the first bump in the road and I dare say it won't be the last. I would hold on for the inevitable up tick coming later this year with an NFC adoption announcement from one or more handset manufacturers. After that I suggest that, if your interest in NXP is primarily a NFC play, take a very close look at how this technology stacks up against similar applications that are cloud based. Dumping or holding this stock is going to come down to your belief that the future of this technology is either terretrial or in the clouds.
