I felt the same way and took profits years ago on what became giants today. Hard to turn down a good profit, but weighed against the profits I gave up - oh dear I made a financial blunder. Had I kept my google it would have increased 500%, instead I booked a 50% profit. Apple almost the same. The worst was when I sold Oracle and Intel in 93. God I hated myself for being so shortsighted. I stopped taking quick profits a couple of years ago. Took me a long time to discover that investing is best long term. With respec to NXP, if the long term fundamentals change, I would sell.
