No way they should break up J&J. The idea is moronic and comes up every year. When one sector is in "sick bay", the other tend to pick it up. Look at some of the growth in Pharma and MDD that helped out a virtually non-existent Consumer business.
The stock price is flat because of the gross mismanagement of the past ten years. To the earlier post, it's going to take Gorsky more than 45 days to right this ship but he'll get it done.
This company is run by old farts who really don't give a schatt about growth - they have different priorities. Need new, hungry, young go-getters who have plans for a super company that is at the beck and call of all who need innovative help, fast.
I believe Gorsky needs to watch his back before he makes too many "tough decisions" with Weldon still there.
