Right now only 22% of ASIA is condsidered middle class - that number is expected to rise to 67% by 2030... Consumer Staples and Healthcare (Rx Drugs) will do well... XLP eft or PPH eft look good to me. Great numbers from PG too last week.
New highs... money is flowing back into Equities after a decade. AAA Rated JNJ still cheap and with a 3% + dividend... better than leaving your money in a Money Market Fund...
I think you are probably right. I own JNJ, PG and KMB among others. There is only one little problem. If I make it, I will be 90 years old in 2030 and likely won't care. I do think there is great opportunity now and eventually people will jump back into the market.
I think Buffet gets it with Heinz - global brand , huge cash flow , big dividend - bodes well for all Consumer Staples - JNJ could split up and sell the Consumer biz for 23x p/e like HNZ and keep the pharma biz.
