I know that stock splits don't really accomplish much, and largely, have fallen out of favor. But, I like them. JNJ's last split was 12 years ago, this June. Mid-June would also coincide with the yearly dividend payment increase. Should the stock retain it's current $75 / share price, I think this spring's dividend increase, to be announced in May, could include a 2/1 or even 3/1 stock split. A 3/1 split, in particular, would be fairly bold, and, I believe, could trigger some extra buying, and a share price increase. A $25-$30 share price could encourage more retail investors, to initiate a long term position here.
Just my thoughts, and I really hope they do a split !! Good luck to JNJ longs !!
