JNJ Accvue vision should be sued; I am losing my eyesight.
I never got nothing but, oh, they will be there soon, voiding the contract of 7-10 business. It's been 5 weeks and excuses from JNJ and today I am going blurred and fell. JNJ is legally liable when they are financially and legally responsible for something, LIKE MEDICAL EMERGENCIES/FALSE MEDICAL DELIVERIES. Legal liability concerns both civil law and criminal law. Legal liability can arise from various areas of law, such as contracts, tort judgments or settlements, taxes, or fines given by government agencies. I will contact Consumer Affairs and a group of NYC Lawyers.
The rebate is difficult to get and made that way for a reason: JNJ hopes you will forget after 6-8 weeks to mail. They hope you won't waste your time looking up the rebate code, print it, mail it in, etc. Another scam--why not just take the $40 off for 8 boxes ordered? We are not stupid JNJ.
When my contacts were late, I e-mailed acuvue. Next, they gave me a 16.00 discount and I was happy; 1 thing, the idiots sent them overnight and it cost 19.00. They screwed me for 6 dollars. Not much, but multiply 1000s od customers. I told Walmart I was not using them anylonger. You can't nickel and dime people and run them around; just ask Montgomery Ward, Roebuck and JCP.......
I ordered from 1-800-contacts in 09. The acuvue lenses were awful. One actually split and broke apart in my eye. I had an eye vessel red for 2 days. As for shipment, I was living in an apartment and they, the box, were in front of my door. Who the heck delivers contact lenses to a place where no one is home? Also is patient confidenality. The outside box on my door looked like a billboard. I say sue JNJ VISION.
I cannot imagine anyone ignorant enough to go 5 weeks without changing their contacts ( you didn't say whether they were regular or disposable) and not going back to their eye doctor, where they usually have those same contacts available on site. Obviously your vision would be far more important than saving a couple bucks through some discount site. Also, the problem would be with whatever company you'd ordered them from. Nice try though.
