Great, I had to pick the only stocks in Icahn Partners to go down in the 3rd quarter report. I may have lost money but Mr. Icahn and partners must feel especially sheepish with the results of CVI/CVRR in comparison to Federal Mogul and American Railcar's performances. In this case Mr. Icahn's "activism" has netted his investors in CVI/CVRR a poor return indeed.
I should clarify for those of us investors who thought the stock prices and distribution returns would at least be even average. Both since the second quarter completion have been terrible. In fact, I will need to check this, but CVI and especially CVRR may be the worst or at least near worst returns compared to their peers the second half of the year. As I said I will need to research this further. However, I find it hard to fathom any other peer doing as badly. Ah well, live and learn.
