I have been long since 4(s) and have not even thought about selling yet but if we underperform significantly i may think of ing/3rd or half off the table..
Usually i sell some or all after double PPS but we are so undervalued here i haven't done so..
buy more on pullback??
how much mojo left in GCI as market looking strong today..
BUT it sure seems like shorts are back here again in higher 8 to 9 range..
would like to hear from others what they doing... anyone?
ZZzzzzzzzzz. The only reason to buy a newspaper stock (and you can all quit peddling this stuff about GCI as a web company) is to bet for somewhat of a turnaround. There won't be a better turnaround in the sector than MNI, precisely because it's currently valued BK due to the debt. MNI has proven it won't go BK, though, with positive earnings and elongated debt expirations. MNI is the turnaround stock of the turnaround sector.
Long-term debt at MNI is 1.97 billion. Based on firm's total revenue, that's substantially higher than GCI. GCI also has better alternate ways to earn revenue outside of printing and publishing, such as its television stations in major markets.
And in case the last message didn't go through....you clearly know more than i know...you were right...i was wrong...i work 8-5 for a living...you're probably retired, rich and have too much money and time on your hands to be wrong about anything...but it was still a nasty retort to say that i needed a vacation...so my feelngs were hurt....but yeah, you were right...i was wrong
well, that's a nasty little finish and shows your ignorance. analysts are always nailing earnings to the penny....and it's because CFO's give it to them on a silver platter....and everybody knows it, too...
I am in your exact position (long 5,300 shares @ $4.05). I am holding. In my opinion, over $10 before year's end is gonna happen. Of course, I predicted that would come by Sept. 1 and it didn't, so what do I know?
