I have been following PRAN for quite some time and have not seen much progress over the years. What is taking them so long to move on with the phase 2b?
I have looked at the people involved (managers and directors) and none of them seems particularly experienced in clinical trials or pharma. It's really hard to have faith in the company when the people who run it seem to lack expertise and experience and nothing seems to happen.
I know Tanzi is a well established researcher in the field but what is his involvement with Prana now?
One thing to keep in mind when people speculate that "news" about Prana will come sooner or later (which it will) is that nobody knows what the "news" will actually be.
Everyone assumes that the next major announcement will be about a partnership to finance a Phase IIb test.
As I've said here before, another possibility is that Prana will simply liquidate itself, selling its intellectual property for a small sum, closing down the business, and distributing the meager proceeds to shareholders.
I still don't think the probability of liquidation is high. But with each passing quarter it probably increases a bit.
Yes it is taking a long time, but I dont guesss it is so easy to raise thats sort of money without giving too much away. In the mean time, check the website, they are expanding their pipeline and are no longer a one drug one disease company, which I am very happy about. As long as it has been, now may be the time to own.
Yeah, Thanks, i have looked at the pipeline it is good , but still all of the new product candidates are in pre-clinical and there has not been a clinical study since end of 2008 now. I know that this is an extremely expensive area of research and that the phase 3 will have to be massive.... But why should one invest n PRAN now. Again, the executive lack industry experience.
