Dynavax Technologies Corporation Message Board

Funny how the story gets "written".....

Most signs pointed to a positive recommendation from the advisory panel and ultimate approval by the FDA. These signs were wrong. The advisory panel voted 8-5 last November against recommending Heplisav because of safety concerns. In February, the FDA followed that recommendation and refused to approve the hep B vaccine.

Dynavax shares now trade around 75% lower than their highs from last October. The company continues to work with the FDA to collect additional patient data to address the safety concerns.

    Sentiment: Hold

    • It's slanted and it's ridiculous, isn't it?
But that is how the investment world will view it, because that's how it is being "fed" to them and that's the way that they will remember it.
Heplisav the rejected. Heplisav the failure. Dynavax the hated company and stock.

And it's VERY damaging to us shareholders and to the company. And it's also inaccurate (and those of us which pay attention know what the truth is).
They have turned a slanted-media situation into a virtual mountain which is difficult for the company and the stock to overcome.
This should be one of the first things which our present, new management should be working to overcome; for the betterment of the company and the stock. Don't let the misperceptions and half-truths become the written history of factual account. And Earle Grey seems to be fine with letting that happen.

People are too busy with reporting that Earle Grey has been spotted in "east london". The tawdry #$%$ of "chasing celebrity" on vacation. Give me a break.

How come there is never any mention about the 2nd vote?
The second vote was just as important as the first one; and yet, even the FDA wants to act like the second vote didn't happen or didn't count.
How come they don't even get the numbers right on that one miserable vote? 8 against, 5 for (and 1 abstained)
In the story, there is no mention of Daum or his connection to GSK. Why is that?
They don't even use his name anymore; he has become invisible in the whole thing. (just the way GSK wants it).

Despite all of the potential that Heplisav had or has, it will mostly be remembered for the SAE Hold and now this crooked, single, "8-5 vote" which Daum pulled off. And that is becoming the history of it, exactly as mis-represented as they write it.

      Sentiment: Hold

      • I share your concerns for the media and publicity in this article. However, you must know FDA will be the agency to approve our vaccine, not media or public opinion. Actually the article did mention how most, including even Cramer, thought FDA would approve the drug and FDA even asked DVAX to broaden the coverage for much larger population. Anyone reading the article would know something wrong during the ADCOM process leading to the negative safety vote and the ultimate FDA CRL. Clearly some kind of untoward influence happened, even the general readers will know that. I believe the new management team know and will work toward satisfying FDA for the ultimate approval. Daum or the pharma he represents can only delay for a period of time. If anything, the low price stock allow us to buy a lot more shares, if we believe the approval will come.

@ Raven08, totally agreed w u that there's been something fishy in FDA ruling on Heplisav. Keep on posting please.

      • Like a clockwork! You come out of hiding (your raven alias) everytime DVAX is consolidating or in the red. How much money did you lose or I should ask: how high did you buy in that got you this disgruntled? You obviously dont know how to deal with your emotions in difficult (losing) time, sounds like you need to find a shoulder to cry on... that shoulder isnt the MB by the way, this will just make u even more bitter.

This consoltation cost you nothing! The next one however will run you $350/hr.

        Sentiment: Buy
