    FIOS

VZ sub-contractor has been on my street for about 3 weeks, and still is not finished. Do these sub-contractors have any incentive to hurry? I would bet that VZ is opaying a fortune to have this FIOS thing up and running. Oldtimers like myself are relucctant to get rid of VZ, but as time goes on the younger people will not bother with VZ. VZ needs to come up with a rabbit out of the hat to fend off the competition. MCI will actually be good in the short run because it will bring much commercial business at first. That business will be hard for VZ to keep unless VZ is creative.

    • you hit the nail on the head. The biggest problem with FIOS is if you can't get it. Absolutely fantastic and constantly improving. If you are watching a recording and switch off to live TV you can now hit the LAST CHANNEL button and it will switch back to the recording and put you in the same spot. That's cool.

    • I'm puzzled by the stock's fall too. I bought for the wireless business. I have and hate Cingular and was jealous of many of my familty and friends who have Verizon and love the service and the fair pricing. Isn't that where the growth lies here?

I haven't given up yet, but am starting to worry a bit. I have rarely seen a stock go down so steadily like this!! Usually there are at least a couple of "snapbacks"
