I can sleep well tonight. Not only will Mr Obama take care of us in America, but he will fix the entire world! He is the Master of Fluff! If you missed the speech, you didn't miss a thing. A great week for Mr Obama in the press, he should really take off in the polls right? We'll see.........
A few years ago a damnyankee woman down here in the deep South told me that as soon as a black person is elected president, us white folks down here will finally get what we deserve and she hoped it would be soon. She, (a white gal) told me this while standing on my turf! What would happen, according to her, would be that every thing we have would be taken away from us and given to blacks.
Here is something I'm afraid people of this country do not realize is happening. The countries of Africa have the most violent people on the face of the earth. That is because almost all of those countries are made up of tribes and the people of one tribe hate members of all others and want them dead. Tribes are being formed in this country in almost all cities by people of African race. These tribes are called "gangs" and members of one gang kill other gang members. Same as in Africa. Tell me you are not aware of this in this country.
Are you kidding me???? Whites have gangs too. The Scots (very white) had clans. There are all types of gangs. Are you seriously telling me that you are afraid of Obama because he is black? His mother was white you know. I just can't believe there are people out there that think like this. If you said you didn't agree with his ideas about Iraq or the economy then I'd say fine. But to be afraid of a man because of his color? WOW that is all I can say.
Regan had speech writers too, so does Bush, you tell me who was able to deliver them better. All Presidents have speech writers. McCain has one too. As to the town meetings, I was at one with Obama, he gave a short speech without a teleprompter then he answered questions. He did very well. McCain and his supporters dared him to go to Iraq he did, and did pretty well. Keep daring him about the town hall meetings, but be careful what you wish for.
This is how many Democrats wanted to take care of us until it became unpopular.
These folks aren't two faced, that is a gross understatement.
OLD John Mc*Cane* thinks ILLEGALS should get health care benefits too, just read the 'McCane-Kennedy' Amnesty bill.
If you are against illegal immigration as i am, you are just shit outta luck this election cycle. Mc*Cane* and Jesus*Christ have the exact same 'amnesty' position when it comes to illegals.
He was also a state senator not just a US state senator. He was president of the Harvard review. I believe he has what it takes to be a good president. You don't okay. Perhaps you can tell me what John McCain can offer working women. Then I will consider him. But from what I see he has nothing to offer but the same Bush policies. I have also noticed that McCain supporters don't seem to be able to give me reasons to vote for McCain, all they seem to do is tear down Obama.
I did mention in the note above that he was Senator for abour 150 days. I am not trying to bash Obama but how can you compare a Governor for 8 years and a State Senator for 150 days.
The man lacks experience. He would not be my choice with his liberal views at this time in our history. If he wins, I wish him well. I hope he proves me wrong. I still think in the end, Mr McCain will win the election, but I'm not real thrilled with that choice either.
It was a very good speech. I just don't understand why people can't give the man credit. He inspires people. Some people just can't seem to handle this and can't miss a chance to try to make him look bad.
Why not try to tell us what makes you want to support McCain. Or do you just find it easier to tear down Obama.
Thank you for your honesty. I will give the man credit ok? Yes he can give a fine speech. I think we all know that by now. And you are correct he does inspire people. If I was a young African American I would be very proud of seeing Mr Obama up there giving speeches. Seeing the first African American with a real chance of becoming President is something all African Americans should be proud of. But my friend PLEASE listen to what the man says IT IS ALL FLUFF (By the way that does not mean I am "TEARING" the man down. I want a President who has a plan to fix the problems in this country, not a man that looks good, smiles at the right times and says everything that is scripted perfectly for television. One thing I liked about George Bush is he would say what was on his mind and pretty much stick to it. You may or may not agree with him but you knew what he stood for. I believe McCain will be the same way. Also I don't want the government taking care of me and my family. If you listen to Mr Obama he has plans for everything from infants to death. Do you REALLY want the government having so much control of your life. THAT is the biggest difference to me between the two. Let me keep my pay check and take care of my family. If Mr Obama is elected our taxes will go a lot higher for government programs that are not needed (in most cases) and are way over priced and abused. McCain wants to drill for oil. Times have changed and we need the oil. Mr Obama does not want to do that. I am not completly happy with Mr McCain. I am more of a conservative and now an independent after watching George Bush do nothing about illegals after 8 years. Also WAY to much government spending under Mr Bush for me. Oh well. Before you cast your vote for Mr Obama find out what he REALLY is going to do for our health care. What about national defense? How high do you want your taxes to be raised? How is he going to help us with the oil situation?
Of course we should look at all options but we still need oil right? If after all of that you still like him, then proudly cast your vote for him. That is what makes this country great.
If he gets in I wish him well. I will not bash, tear down or try to "make him look bad" like all of my left wing friends have done for 8 years with Mr Bush. The man can give a great speech but we are in difficult times my friend. When Mr Clinton was in office he could give a fine speech and screw around all he wanted. Times have changed and we need a real leader, not just someone who can "inspire" people and make good speech. Our country is in trouble and I am not thrilled with our choices of leadership at this time in history. ...............Peace my friend....
P S....Who does he hang around with? Are they proud of their country? Are they quality people?
When you don't know much about someone like Mr Obama (not much of a record to look at compared to Mr McCain in years in government) and his speeches are all fluff, (never gives solid direction or views) you are left with what people use to call character. I have not been impressed with some people he has associated with. This man is not running for Mayor, he is running for President of the United States. Everyone should look a close look at this man and what he stands for. If you like him then vote for him. But PLEASE.......do not cast your vote because he inspires people and makes a good speech ok?
