They will not pick up the lines (copper is out of fad). Instead they will use their cable to provide access OUTSIDE the house. The inside wiring remains as is and current phones can be used. Other options are MAGICJACK PLUS which also uses computer or router to make calls free to anywhere. Once Verizzon has enough tower cpacity locally they will route it to local comcast (others) for in house distribution.
