VZ Prepping for MAJOR Influx of ATT Defectors?

Word on the Street is the iphone5 will be snapped up boatloads of ATT subscribers who are nearing the end of their iphone4 two-year deals.

The thinking is they're ready to upgrade and will jump to VZ in the process. Why? Better coverage, awesome 4glte performance (which the 5 will fully utilize), and more aggressive family pricing plans.

VZ's growth should continue unabated for a while and remains the most compelling name in wireless communications.

This stock is poised to make new highs for the next 12 months.

    • And the proof is in the pudding. I expect this trend to continue for a long while. It's all about having the best network!

(Reuters) - AT&T Inc posted third-quarter revenue below Wall Street estimates as it added fewer customers than expected, citing a shortage of the latest Apple Inc iPhone.

The No. 2 U.S. mobile service provider said it had 151,000 net new subscribers in the quarter, compared with the average expectation for 358,000, according to five analysts contacted by Reuters.

Its bigger rival, Verizon Wireless, added 1.5 million subscribers in the quarter.

      Sentiment: Strong Buy

    • pr hype ... i would posit that there will be some migration ... keep in mind that every month there are also
some defectors from VZ .... if VZ can keep it's 4g , LTE lead over ATT , then there should be a continuous
flow to VZ , but don't look for huge stock gains ....
the big money that supports stocks will still be sensitive to FCF , which is terrific , debt levels , which
are very large , payout ratios and the such ......

i would also expect that the industry , as a whole , will plateau with capex .... a huge problem for
all companies has been limited time between tech advances to recoup capex before they have to
shell out again .. once overall capex slows down , there will be more shekels to retire debt ,
buyback stock , and really boost dividends .....

T is still far behind VZ with physical buildout , so that should make a big difference over the
next few years, also , there should be a diminished gouging via AAPL subsidies ...

in short , i would posit that VZ is an excellent investment for a long time , like 5- 10yrs and who
knows how far beyond that ??? ... later .. garce
