Solid bounce underway off $33.75 today. Bouncing with strength off the 100 moving averages and Bottom Bollinger. The RSI, Fast and Slow Stochastics are bottomed out. Yield over 4.5% is a buy as well for income investors. Sprint deal shouldn't have much impact on VZ and/or T for some time-- ton of debt being taken down by Softbank in the deal-- not sure how much more they want to stretch themselves in the process to take on the likes of these two behemoths.
I think this deal more than likely allows Sprint to remain firmly in place as the #3 player and pose some actual competition with T and VZ in order to keep ahead of T-Mobil/PCS and the like. I don't think they have the resources, loyalty or capacity to make a huge run again these two. I'd put it in the comparison Dr. Pepper Snapple vs Coca-Cola/Pepsi. It's a solid company, with fans, but they can't put a dent into the top two with their host of offerings and brand recognition.
