I don't think that holds true. I am not an investor in the company I am speaking of. My son in law works there. They actually do work on very high tech parts of the drones, airborne early warning, radar and AWAC type craft, and yet, 3rd round of layoffs this year.
Considering the state of affairs around the world, I think the defensive cuts might be going too far.
To make promises on lowering spending and take such a deep cut out of military all at once(and I am sure on a continuing basis) can be problematic. Even when one thinks of the job loss it will cause.
