    Everybody takes a shot

at the winner ... far too much made about this "throttling deal" .. the company has stated that such action
is in the process of network mgmt ... and will only be used at individual cell sites at times of high traffic to
ensure that all concerns have connections ... i don't see any difference here , than with the electric companys'
practice , for decades , of brownouts ...
of course the pundits will point out that abuses could occur , but that's what we have regulators for, to

    • Any pullbacks are good entry points, based on what Verizon reported this last quarter, it should sweet going forward. Would expect Verizon to announce a dividend increase in September. Base on the track record, it would probably be safe to assume a .015 cent dividend increase, anything above that hides the real strength in the Verizon numbers. Dividend increases since September 2000, this is what I found.

      09/13 - .53
      09/12 - .515
      09.11 - .50
      09/10 - .4875
      09/09 - .4750
      09/08 - .46
      09/07 - .43
      2006 - no dividend increase
      03/05 - .4050
      09/00 thru 12/04 - .3850

Perhaps the price is going down to increase the dividend yield.
