Still think financial regulation is not necessary?
Still think corporations and the "free market" can regulate themselves??
""this has to do with SDRL how?""
Listen last 30 to 120 seconds on the WSJ interview with Furguson...It ends with his comment on Dodd-Frank which he says he read it entirely.
Listen to this guy...anyone with half an Brain knew better... he had really rich people's money and bet against boom but a lot of those Rich idiots wanted to pull money....
Really, you Dem supporting idiots need to listen.
And Barney was screaming at the top of his lungs that repealing Glass was a HUGE mistake and he was right.....even the GOP poster admitted on this thread that......
"the only financial regulations we need are the antitrust laws and Glass Steagall. Glass steagall prevented banks from being casinos, antitrust keeps them from being too big to fail."
He was right.
REgardless, perhaps Glass should have stayed in place...
they real failure was allowing no money down loans,,,,
Next up was allowing the GSE's to buy those Loans....I like to of seen the noise if Repubs had went against that. Barney Franks would have been in and on the nightly news daily had the Repubs said no...
Bush admin et. al wanted to slow it or stop it in Sept. 2003 but the Dems SAID NO! there you go Brainless! It didn't have to be this BIG of an problem!
You are in denial buddy.
The glass-steagal repeal was WRITTEN by 3 GOPers and voted along party lines in the senate. ALL republicans voted for it, with 1 democrat voting for it.
Wake up and smell the facts.
I know you guys dont like facts all the much, but these are hard to deny.
There are regulations piled on top of regulations stacked tens of feet deep. The problem is the crooks are smarter than the politicians.....and always will be. "There is no controling legal authority." Remember that?
