So I'm watching Bloomberg this morning and Gabelli is on ... he gets locked up in a debate with Betty Lu about banks and surveys... Gabelli gets all hot under the collar... with literally 5 secs left in his segment he "out of the blue" says, "well, I'm here to tell you GenCorp is one rocket of a company.. buy GenCorp" ... Betty Lu gives a parting shot about the banks again.. thanks him and the segment is over... Whats THAT all about that Gabelli would try to squeeze in a PIMP of GenCorp saying its a "Rocket" of a stock? Smells like he's pimping it so they can SELL IT at these highs and leave newbie investors holding the bag... yes? (disclaimer: I have no skin in the game.. no shares/options and wont have an interest in GenCorp as an investment.. only asking the question)
I saw the same exchange. To me it seemed as if he wanted to talk stocks and was irritated by Betty's insistence he comment on a silly survey..she also wanted to know what he thought of Mcdonalds..he doesnt follow it. these shows are now mostly about the "personalitys" giving their opinions despite their lack of investment knowledge. This is the second recent TV business show where Mario wasted an hour listening to TV drivel. These anchors do no home work.
Personally i wish CNBC and Bloomberg would shut up and listen to him. I waited both shows to hear his stock opinion and wasted my time as well. I really dont think Gaballi is the "pump and dump" kind of guy he has given sound advice in the past. If he starts touting stock that nose dive it does him no good. He obviously owns some and wants it to rise. i'm probably buying Gen Corp and keeping the volume down on CNBC & Betty
Look at the development they are doing, click on their website and it is there.
All the measures are using old values land values are up 10 to 15% over their original plans. The market cap is giving 0 for the real estate. With re gy is worth double. It ha sbeen a great ride and I expect a whole lot more in share price. when they announce the plans and who they are partnering with gy could rise $2 - $4 over a week or two.
