I am totally long Gencorp, I'm buying as many shares as I can and suggest you do the same. It's up 50% since November. I think Mario Gabelli is correct, it will double again by years end. Why?
1. Acquisition of a major competitor, Rocketdyne, will be approved by the FTC in April or May.
2. Governments will have to buy more missile parts to counter North Korea/Iran.
3. Last and most important of all, Easton. Gencorp owns the last large undeveloped tract of land in urban Sacramento. They're developing 6000 acres of it (half). That process is 5 years along now, they will break ground very soon. The land is on their books at 1955 acquisition price of $33million. It's worth 1 billion easily. Metropolitan Sacramento is California's capitol and 4th largest urban area, with over 1,440,000 residents.
