    AMD PE

    "AMD is expected to lose 54 cents this quarter. If they were to beat expectations by $2.39 and instead post a profit of $1.85 per share, AMD would have a PE of over 700. Even the biggest fantasizers out there don't expect a profit of $638 million so the PE situation is much worse than 700"

    Who taught you how to calculate a p/e...Not that it would happen, but if AMD earned $638M per year, their p/e would be less than 4

      $638 million this quarter would be $1.85 per share. The past three quarters cumulative loss was $1.84. That makes an annual profit of one penny. Price over $7 on one penny earnings equals a p/e over 700.

        More numbers from a basher to distort the truth. If AMD made $638m this quarter, do you think anyone would care about the last three quarters........more FUD.........wallstreet looks forward, and backwards
