    Industry consolidating, Barrett

Does that mean AMD nearing extinction?

What will AMD sell in the near future, their self-obsolete 32bit products or their nobody-wants-one and there-is-no-software-for-it 64bit product?

But AMD is a desperate company.

No, it means Intel is desperately looking to get into another tech segment to keep their profits up because they know their products are no longer competitive in an AMD64 world.

      Think "Wireless".

(Another sure fire money loser if you ask me.)

Intel's thinking wireless, and milking wireless, already. Centrino's selling wonderfully well.

Is AMD's (leased) HQ a Centrino hotspot yet? Is AMD's (rented) Fab a Centrino hotspot yet?
Is AMD's (begged, borrowed) R&D centers Centrino hotspot yet?
Is AMD's (shared) Flash center a Centrino hotspot yet?

But AMD is a desperate company.
