    has anyone noticed

Has anyone noticed that Intel appears to be advertising their celeron product line alot more than in the past. If you look at the major retailers, the Celeron product offerings are as many, if not more than the P4 and Centrino offerings.........Could it be AMD has finally forced Intel to emphasize thier cheaper processors to compete.....this could be good news if Intel's ASP is dropping

that's one way....but I prefer to sleep with the General Manager of the store. Her Inventory Management Software shows all kinds of data. She told me that her store sold 22 computers on friday, and 26 on saturday, for a total of 48. Of that total, 27 were AMD. She also showed me data, that shows this trend for the past 14 days.....Looks encouraging

    • Intel needs to compete? They could go for months not doing anything but their marketing campaign and people will still ask for intel machines when they walk into computer stores

I would not bet on it......I know for a fact the my local Bestbuy is doing very well with the AMD XP line-up........

In Notebooks, AMD is outselling Intc due to HP's and CPQ's outstanding lineup of XP2200's and XP2400's

In Notebooks, its about 50/50, with emachines doing very well.

i feel that a major change of momentum is underway, but change does not take place over night.......It will be a very interesting Q4.
