There is no way this company will turn around in one quarter. Too much damage has been done by management - ie., wall street credibility shattered, and destruction of the balance sheet -- it will take AMD at least 12 months to restore things back to normal if they back off INTC now -- the stock needs to find a bottom and stay there for a few months before stronger hands pick up the stock - so far, there is no sign of this and hence the price will continue it's downward trend.
don't be fooled by false bottoms, the dark journey will go farther than you ever imagined - that's the way these things always work out in weak stocks - try and imagine what it may feel like if the stock started trading at $9 next month, or at $5 in a few months...
Hector is like General Lee at Gettysburg leading his troops on a march uphill directly into the rifles and cannon balls of a well fortified, superior army holding the high ground. The outcome is predictable.
Suppose we'll look back at AMD with the same puzzling question. Why?
