Of course Intel has to feel the pain - but AMD

Intel is position in all the high end markets - relying on selling CPUs for USD 1400+ (and this is not server chips) - this market is completely dead

But AMD dont participate in these segments - however, in the GPU business ATI is gaining constantly - will reach a turnover of 400M+ in Q4 and the affordable Shanghai drop in solution will generate between 100-150M revenue in Q4 - all in all despite the comsumer down turn, AMD will grow sequential in Q4 - despite the Intel downturn of 10%

And the current share price equals a factor of ONLY 0.6 times the cash holding - ridiculous. Intel is priced at an elevated factor of 2-3 times the turnover compared to AMD valuation of 0000.25 times the turnover. And dont even think about profitability as - AMD will be profitable in Q4, but Intel will start looking like a lame duck, as nobody is going to pay a price premium of 700% for a 25% performance boost (which is essential for the Intel cost base) - but they will start to looking at the reasonable priced AMD solutions :-)
