A "good overclocker" is a chip that can handle having its clock speed increased AND also delivers increased performance commensurate with that increased clock speed. In Bulldozer's case, while you can run up the clock speed, which was a design element from the start, don't expect much extra oomph when you do. IPC is *that bad*For example, the Cinebench scores for an FX-8150 cloced to 4.8GHz were lower than a stock Phenom II and about the same as a stock Core i5 2500k.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9IR1l9nGe4oNote the Cinebench score turned in by the overclocked (to 4.8GHz) Bulldozer. Now compare that score to these Cinebench scores for stock processors:http://www.cinebench-scores.com/Bulldozer is a total wimp! A "girly-chip" if ever there was one! It needs to have a stock clockspeed at 5GHz to even be competitive on many relevant benchmarks!Epic fail.
