Let's get real. There's no business or technology initiative in AMD history about which AMD hasn't ultimately had to concede error and defeat.Dresden good! Oh, wait. Fab bad!Buy ATI for $5 billion good! Oh, wait. AMD including ATI now worth what AMD paid for ATI alone. That bad!Get into flash memory business good! Oh, wait. Flash memory bad!And the list of failed initiatives and strategies goes on and on.AMD is truly a Clown Company.
I can't disagree with you :)
Intel: 64 bit x86 is bad, oh wait, its good, we'll copy AMD.Intel: Replacing buses with direct connections is bad, oh wait, its good, we'll copy AMD.Even if AMD moves away from SOI it doesn't mean it wrong to use it previously. Conditions change. Only fools don't reevaluate and make adjustments (and make blanket statements, except maybe this one).
